Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Admission is FREE to the Nelson-Atkins every day.
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays, New Year’s Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art
Admission is free for all galleries at the Kemper Museum.
Open Tuesday–Thursday 10am–4pm; Friday–Saturday 10am–9pm; Sunday 11am–5pm; Closed Mondays.
Belger Arts Center – Red Star Studios
The Belger Arts Center is located in the Crossroads Arts District. Exhibition is always free and open to the public.
Open Wednesday-Friday 10am-4pm & Saturday 12pm-4pm or by appointment. Open “First Fridays” of each month until 9pm.
Mid-America Arts Alliance

Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art
At the Nerman Museum free guided tours are led by trained volunteers.

From 5:30pm-9pm each 3rd Friday The Englewood Station Arts District of Independence features several galleries and businesses! Along Winner Road from Sterling to Ralston Avenues, this art walk showcases a rotating collection of local and regional artists.
The Kansas City Public Library

The Blue Room
Part of the American Jazz Museum, The Blue Room opens its doors every Monday at 5pm for a free jam session. Support live, local jazz by bringing an instrument to play or listening to the iconic music.
