ArtsKC Recommended for $20k NEA Grant

ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council has been recommended for $20,000 in funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for ArtsKCGo.com, a new arts and cultural events website that launched to the public on June 2. This funding recommendation is contingent upon final NEA review. The Council has consistently received NEA funding in the past for programs and services that promote arts and culture.

ArtsKC Launches ArtsKCGo.com

ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council will officially launch ArtsKCGo.com to the public tomorrow, June 2, 2017. The new digital guide to arts and cultural events is a free service provided by ArtsKC to help local arts and cultural organizations increase audience engagement. The guide gives community members and tourists alike a “go-to” place to find events in one place. ArtsKC will add events to the guide throughout the summer, and beyond.

ArtsKC Announces Dana Knapp as New President & CEO

Brad Douglas, chairman of the ArtsKC Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dana Knapp as the new President & CEO of ArtsKC. She has been serving as Interim President & CEO since January 1, 2017.

ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council announced today the honorees who were recognized at the 14th Annual ArtsKC Awards Luncheon – Electrify! for their extraordinary leadership in the arts and creative industries.

Awards Luncheon to Honor Arts Leaders and Visionaries

ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council announces its 14th annual awards luncheon to be held February 23, 2017, at the Kansas City Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will honor arts leaders and visionaries in our community. Additionally, ArtsKC will kick off its 2017 ArtsKC Fund Campaign, which raises money for arts organizations, arts programs and artists throughout the five-county metropolitan area.

2016 Inspiration Breakfast to Feature Local Composer, Brad Cox

On Thursday, October 6 at 8:00 a.m., ArtsKC will host the 7th annual Inspiration Breakfast at the Overland Park Convention Center. Brad Cox, composer, conductor, musician, and co-founder of the Owen/Cox Dance Group will be the featured speaker.

ArtsKC Raises More than Half a Million Dollars for Local Arts Community!

ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council announced last night that the 2016 ArtsKC Fund Campaign raised $500,203. This is ArtsKC’s second-largest campaign in six years, and fourth-largest since the inception of the ArtsKC Fund in 2007.
