What is the fee for renting the space?

Please reference our rental rates tab.

Do you do all set up and tear down of items you provide?

We will set up and tear down any items we provide, however if you rent items, those will need to be set up and taken down by you or your rental company – so that we bear no liability for damage.

When can I begin set up for my event?

You may begin set-up whenever you like, and will only be charged for paying an event staff person to be onsite with you (we require this to help you locate any rooms, items, unlock doors, and answer any questions about the facilities.)

What exactly does this fee include?

You rental includes access to our full kitchen (oven, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, sink) as well as use of our sound system, microphone and speaker unit, projector and screen, and use of chairs and tables. Additional fees are charged for staff and janitors, please reference the rental rate sheet.

What is excluded from the rental fee?

We do not provide security, we have no on-site caterer (however, we do not require a catering minimum, or a specific caterer. In fact, you could bring in all of your own food and drinks if you should wish to do so!)

How many hours does the rental rate include?

The flat fee covers four hours, with an additional fee per hour after that.

How much is the deposit?

A 50% deposit is due no later than 30 days before your event.

What forms of payment do you take?

Do you have list of preferred vendors?

ArtsKC does not have a list of preferred vendors. You may use whichever vendor you wish.

How many parking spots are available for guests?

There is ample street parking in the blocks surrounding our space, as well as garage parking just north of us. Parking is dependent on the time of day and other events in the area.

May we serve alcohol?
You may, if your organization or caterer provides a valid liquor license. You must follow city ordinances and regulations.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposit is fully refundable if cancelled two (2) weeks prior to event. ArtsKC will keep the deposit if the event is cancelled less than two (2) weeks ahead of time. Should an unpredictable catastrophe (i.e. fire, flood, etc.) cancel the event, ArtsKC will reschedule at no extra charge. If you do not wish to reschedule, ArtsKC will keep the deposit. For refunds please contact OfficeManager@ArtsKC.org.

Are there any restrictions on use of the space?

You may not affix anything to the walls.

ArtsKC is not available for rent during the First Friday of each month due to agency programming.
