Individuals connect with arts organizations in this “speed-dating” style networking event to learn about opportunities to serve on boards and committees with nonprofit arts organizations.
The evening includes both open networking and the opportunity for scheduled, 10-minute interviews between arts organizations and individuals. During the interviews, organizations will share with individuals information about their mission and programs and open board and/or committee positions. Individuals should be prepared to share information about their background and special skills or knowledge they may contribute to the organization as a board or committee member.
Arts organizations are from the five-county Kansas City region, including Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas.

The Arts Leadership Series is designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of diverse leaders in the arts. We will achieve this by connecting aspiring arts leaders with seasoned arts leaders for a series of four 90-minute conversations.
The series will take place at the National World War I Museum and Memorial, 2 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO 64108. Each session will be from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM.
The discussions are designed to help attendees cultivate the tools, knowledge, and network to become effective board or committee members with nonprofit arts organizations. Each session is $10 and you may attend all or any one of the sessions, topics listed below:
