Walking The Border
Artist Charlie Mylie took an adventure into the wilderness of our city by walking the border of Kansas City to discover himself and what lies at our literal and metaphorical boundaries. It took him 15 days. He camped in obscure places, and saw the borders that not only separate us, but also define us. What he discovered is something beyond the literal. Creating an identity means defining what you are in relation to what you are not. You can listen to this story on the Paris of the Plains podcast as told by Mylie himself, and journalist Esther Honig. You can also read more about it in Flatland KCPT’s digital magazine.
Paris of the Plains Podcast is made here in Kansas City and is broadcast on KKFI Community Radio.
