ArtsKC is currently seeking proposals for the 2020 ArtsKC Awards Luncheon. The luncheon has become one of Kansas City’s most popular events, hosting over 1,000 leaders in the arts, business and civic community.

Eligibility and Selection:

The opportunity is open to organizations and/or performers residing in and around the five-county Kansas City metropolitan area. Organizations and performers from the 2019 Awards are ineligible to apply this year. Proposals will be reviewed by a panel comprised of business and arts professionals.


Honorarium: $500 per group

Proposal Specifications:

ArtsKC is soliciting proposals for up to 4 performances. We are seeking the highest quality performance you or your organization has to offer (from your current or past seasons). This is an opportunity to shine before an audience of 1000 arts enthusiasts!

The selected performances will be:
-Diverse (vocal, instrumental, theatrical, dance, poetry, film, spoken word, etc.)
-Appropriate for all audiences
-No more than three to five minutes in length
– In full costume (when applicable)

The stage will be supplied by ArtsKC. Stairs to the floor will be positioned on both sides of the stage and are the only way to enter and exit the the performance space. Please note, it is possible that you will not have access to the entire stage. For example, a drum kit may need to remain on stage in a corner, etc. Sound and lighting will be provided at no charge. All other expenses (including musical instruments such as a piano or keyboard) will be the responsibility of the performing artists. With the exception of standing microphones, set changes will not be made during the Awards Luncheon. Performers may carry props on and off the stage.
