Because so many arts organizations rely on government funding to keep their doors open, it’s necessary for artists and organizational leaders to engage with elected officials on a regular basis. ArtsKC is proud to partner with Missouri Citizens for the Arts to produce a program to help facilitate this conversation.

Tickets are free, but registration is required for headcount. 

Event Registration Includes:

  • A two-part workshop: the importance of lobbying and how to educate your federal, state, and local elected officials. The workshop will be facilitated by Kyna Iman, Government Affairs Consultant, Missouri Citizens for the Arts, and Crissy Dastrup, District 4 Legislative Aide.
  • A “Beginning of the Legislative Session” reception with state senators and representatives and other local elected officials. This will provide the opportunity to network and build a relationship with these leaders.
  • A discount code for your ticket to Jefferson City on the ArtsKC bus for Citizens’ Day at the Legislature on Wednesday, February 5.
