“Now & Then” showcases works offering insight into the intersections between art, culture, and daily life. Set in the Beaux Arts architecture of the Kansas City Museum, this exhibition brings together a selection of graduates and professors from the MFA program at the University of Colorado Boulder as well as some Kansas City ceramicists.
Also on view is “Pueblo to Pueblo: The Legacy of Southwest Indian Pottery,” which represents over a hundred tribal cultures, includes ceramic items of everyday as well as ceremonial use. This traveling exhibition is curated by museum professional and scholar Bill Mercer from the Kansas City Museums private collection
Now & Then was co-curated by Casey Whittier who is a recent ArtsKC Rocket Grant recipient.
