A native Kansas Citian, Iván graduated from Drury University with his Bachelor of Arts in arts administration and art history. Afterwards, he accepted a graduate assistant position and went on to earn his Masters of Nonprofits & Civic Leadership. During this time, Iván managed an off-campus university art gallery and was able to plan monthly exhibitions in order to showcase regional artists. After six months as an intern at ArtsKC, Iván headed off to work at the Head for the Cure Foundation, a nonprofit focusing on raising funds for brain cancer across the nation. Returning to ArtsKC, Iván has now taken on the new role as the Donor Relations & CRM Manager.

During his free time, Iván loves to paint and is continuing to build his body of work. His friends and family are a very important part of his motivation and always keep him laughing and smiling.
