How many people can the space hold?
200 for a cocktail reception, up to 100 seated theater style, and between 70 and 90 for seated round tables depending on your setup.
How many chairs/tables do you offer?
We have 50 white chairs and 30 black chairs, 11 (60” x 30” wide and 30” high) white rectangular tables, 5 (4’ high x 30” across) cocktail tables, a projector and a screen available for use.
What is the fee for renting the space?

Do you do all set up and tear down of items you provide?
We will set up and tear down any items we provide, however, if you rent items, those will need to be set up and taken down by you or your rental company – so that we bear no liability for damage.
When can I begin setting up for my event?
You may begin set-up whenever you like as long as it is clearly communicated in the rental agreement. The ArtsKC event staff person will be onsite with you (we require this to help you locate any rooms, items, unlock doors, and answer any questions about the facilities.)
What exactly does this fee include?
Your rental includes access to our full kitchen (oven, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, sink) as well as the use of our sound system, microphone and speaker unit, projector and screen, and use of chairs and tables. Additional fees are charged for staff and janitors, please reference the rental rate quote you have received from filling out the Rental Inquiry Form.
What is excluded from the rental fee?
We do not provide security, we have no on-site caterer (however, we do not require a catering minimum or a specific caterer. In fact, you could bring in all of your own food and drinks if you should wish to do so!)
How many hours does the rental rate include?
It is based on your needs and what you have requested. Please fill out the Rental Inquiry Form.
How much is the deposit?
A 50% deposit is due no later than 30 days before your event.
What forms of payment do you take?
We accept check, cash and all major credit cards (please include a 3% processing fee for credit cards).
Do you have list of preferred vendors?
ArtsKC does not have a list of preferred vendors. You may use whichever vendor you wish.
How many parking spots are available for guests?
There is ample street parking in the blocks surrounding our space, as well as garage parking just north of us. Parking is dependent on the time of day and other events in the area.
May we serve alcohol?
You may serve alcohol as long as you are not charging for it. If you are charging for alcohol you must get a valid liquor license for the event from the City of Kansas City.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposit is fully refundable if canceled two (2) weeks prior to the event. ArtsKC will keep the deposit if the event is canceled less than two (2) weeks ahead of time. Should an unpredictable catastrophe (i.e. fire, flood, etc.) cancel the event, ArtsKC will reschedule at no extra charge. If you do not wish to reschedule, ArtsKC will keep the deposit. Are there any restrictions on the use of the space?
You may not affix anything to the walls.
ArtsKC is not available for rent during the First Thursday and Friday of each month due to agency programming.
All renters must sign a rental agreement, provide a certificate of liability insurance, and a deposit check to reserve a date.
