What are you doing for Mother’s day!? Join StoneLion Puppet Theatre – on the south lawn of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art for their 10th Annual Mother’s Day for Mother Earth GIANT Puppet Celebration. Ten years and counting, the StoneLion Puppet Theatre has celebrated Mother’s Day with Kansas City’s largest community arts project and giant puppet show, Mother’s Day for Mother Earth. Larger than life puppets, professional actors, dancers, community participants and you will celebrate on the lawn of The Nelson-Atkins. This year’s theme is all about water. The Mermaid’s Tail (Tale) follows the journey of a giant plastic water bottle down a storm drain and eventually out to sea. This is the perfect destination to visit the museum’s incredible collection, get outside and celebrate spring!
StoneLion Puppet Theatre is an ArtsKC Catalyst Grant Recipient.
