Becky Giles, a local Singer/Songwriter and Speech Therapist will present a live event titled “A Community Journal and Living History: Healing in Motion-Transitions and Patterns of Joy” featuring original music and media, designed to bring healing and joy to underrepresented communities in the KC area. The live cross-genre music and digital media event will share the journeys of local KC community members’ growth, transition, and finding joy through moments in life where they have had to unexpectedly “pivot.” This project is more than a concert—it is a community gathering, a platform for shared healing, and a musical archive of resilience and patterns of joy. Funds will be used for composing, audio/visual representation of community member’s stories, marketing, and venue rental.
