Amidst an epic bat migration in rural Kansas, two women grapple with mother/daughter relationships in a mechanically impaired airplane in the sky.

“BAT PLANE” is an animated short about isolation, maternal relationships, and excruciating seat-mates on airplanes. This film is not just about humans but also about bats. Near and dear to my heart, this project stems from personal experiences I’ve had 40,000 feet in the air. What were these experiences, you ask? One was missing the chance to say goodbye to a dying loved one due to flight delay, the other, mid-flight engine failure followed by emergency landing in rural Idaho.
