Carter is the Senior Manager of The Drop at ArtsKC working to make the arts more accessible to more individuals throughout the metro area. They started in an associate role at ArtsKC in 2023 piloting The Drop program and grew into a management role as the program continued to expand. 

Carter holds a Bachelors of Arts in Art History from Wichita State University and has worked at the Ulrich Museum of Art in Wichita, KS, and the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields in Indianapolis, IN. Out of the office they maintain an active studio practice. Their background in 

painting and illustration led them to explore tufting as a medium creating handmade rugs. They have a studio space at Cherry Pit Collective in Midtown where they teach beginner workshops introducing new people to the art of tufting.
