What Work Is, is a project-based group exhibition curated by Adams Puryear and Nina Littrell featuring over 60 Kansas City-based artists, makers and crafters who transform a pair of factory coveralls to express their reinterpretation of the American Dream in today’s world. Displayed in this exhibit are a large number of artist-altered coveralls centrally hanging in the main gallery at the artist run space Vulpes Bastille opening January 2, 2026.
