Kenny Watson Jr., a Kansas City–based drummer and composer, will create and premiere an original multidisciplinary jazz suite titled “Those Who Came Before Me.” Developed in collaboration with the Mutual Musicians Foundation, the project integrates instrumental jazz, original vocal music, and spoken word honoring Kansas City’s jazz lineage. The daytime program will include a guided tour of the Foundation and a community dialogue. Grant funds will support musician stipends, professional documentation, and production costs.
