Melinda Hedgecorth is a Flamenco Dancer and Choreographer who organizes events like The Midwest Flamenco Festival to create community and share culture in Kansas City and rural areas where less diversity is to be found. Artists from across the US and Spain such as Singer and Dancer Stephanie Pedraza, Guitarist Ross Fellrath, Dancer Alicia Marquez and Singer and Musician Antonio Rojas will help to teach classes, present talks and prepare traditional food for attendees to enjoy. Grant funds will be used to pay artist fees, travel, materials, venues and advertising to make this event possible.
