Hello, I’m Kathryn Walker, Vice President of Finance & Operations! I joined ArtsKC in 2009 and support accounting functions, human resources, contract management, grant writing, and risk assessment for the organization. Prior to joining ArtsKC, I worked many years in Community Development, both as a Director of Finance and as an Executive Director. My for-profit experience included accounting and managerial work for a major law firm and a commercial real estate company.

Spanning the four decades of my professional career with my 13-year tenure with ArtsKC, I bring knowledge and wisdom to the workplace. Although past retirement age, I have not yet retired because I believe in the mission of “Advancing Lives Through the Arts” and know that the work ArtsKC is doing is making a systemic change in the quality of life for the region. My husband, two grown children, their spouses, five grandchildren, and a fluffy dog are the loves of my life. Music, theater, and reading are my go-to arts activities for further enrichment of my life.
