Kathryn Walker, Vice President of Finance & Operations, joined ArtsKC in 2009 and supports accounting functions, human resources, contract management, grant writing, and risk assessment for the organization. Prior to joining ArtsKC, she worked many years in Community Development, both as a Director of Finance and as an Executive Director. Her for-profit 

experience included accounting and managerial work for a major law firm and a commercial real estate company. She holds a Masters of Business Administration degree and is a certified CPA. 

Spanning over four decades of her professional career with her 17-year tenure with ArtsKC, she brings knowledge and wisdom to the workplace. Although past retirement age, she has not yet retired because she believes in the mission of “Advancing Lives Through the Arts” and knows that the work ArtsKC is doing is making a systemic change in the quality of life for the region. Her husband and family that includes five grandchildren, and a fluffy dog are the loves of her life. Music, theater, and reading are her go-to arts activities for further enrichment of her life.
