Clint Blew

BIOGRAPHY

Clint Blew is a practicing design architect with 35 years of experience designing a wide range of projects in the United States and abroad. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas and received his Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas in 1990. He moved to Kansas City that same year to begin his architecture
career at PBNI (now BNIM).

As a highly accomplished, award-winning design architect, Blew traces much of his success to his artistic sensibilities and his natural affinity for the visual and communication arts. The appeal of storytelling and image making inspired Clint to start studying painting and established painters in 2021 as a form of self-education. This intense study eventually led him to open his personal art studio, Blew Artwork, in 2023, where he explores a wide variety of subject matter and painting techniques using acrylic paints and mixed media.

Like his architectural work, Blew’s aim for his paintings is to always focus on people, place, and story. He does not subscribe to a particular artistic style or school of thought, though his art fits most consistently in abstractionism with a focus on symbols, analogies, feelings, memories, and stories. His interest in narrative art drives some of his most distinctive and original paintings.

Clint Blew was recently honored with his first solo art exhibit as the artist-in-residence at Serendipity Labs in Overland Park, Kansas from February to April 2025. The show featured 30 paintings Blew created in his studio in 2024 and was very well received.
