This body of work began during the initial stages of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I was seeking a more concise way of working and had also been developing projects informed by my scientific research, love of illustrating said research, and a keen interest in color field theory. I decided to bring those elements together and embark on a drawing journey where I would try to make one hundred drawings a year.Â
The drawings included were done in years four and five (2024-25) of the project. More recent work additionally celebrates ‘Euclid’s Elements’ as a timeless foundation of logic and form. Compiled around 300 BC, it remains one of humanity’s most profound achievements: a book that carved order from abstraction, shaping how we understand space, form, and infinity itself. The Elements reminds us that clarity is not sterile but luminous and that from the simplest assumptions, entire universes unfold.Â
