I am an artist whose work transforms vintage photographs into contemporary paintings that celebrate a wide range of ethnicities and genders. I work from photographs that offer an authentic glimpse of the individual—images that suggest character and lived experience rather than polished publicity stills. Using a deliberately limited color palette, I paint in oils on backgrounds of varying hues. Through this work, I aim to honor cultural history while reimagining archival imagery for contemporary audiences.
