After four decades in the apparel industry, I retired and began a new chapter, one that started with my first canvas and a newfound sense of creative freedom. My career began with color and design, expanded into global sourcing, and evolved through company building and brand development before culminating in my role as chief operating officer.

Retirement gave me the opportunity to exchange the spreadsheet for the canvas. I entered the studio searching for a new way to think, explore, and communicate. Painting has become a process of rewiring: releasing established patterns, and discovering what can emerge without a predetermined outcome.

Working primarily in abstract acrylics, I construct each painting through layers of color, movement, and textures. Some areas are controlled and carefully considered; others are allowed to shift and collide. This balance reflects the tension between the structured life I once knew and the creative freedom I am now learning to trust. 

At the center of my practice is the belief that reinvention does not require erasing the past. It asks us to reconsider it, build upon it, and remain open to what comes next.
