Sandy is the Now Showing Program Coordinator. She expertly manages the daily operations of the Now Showing program, placing the work of regional artists in over 40 local business spaces through curated rotating exhibitions.
Sandy has worked with KCPBS since 1996. Recent projects as a contractor include the documentaries “Womontown” and an Emmy-winning four-part series on the history of HIV/AIDS in Kansas City entitled, “AIDS in KC” with production partner Emily Woodring. Sandy has also partnered with Carl Boyd to create an interstitial series celebrating Kansas City’s historic Black civic leaders entitled, “Passing the Baton.”
Sandy has been involved in the arts in Kansas City for decades as an artist and through volunteering for the Kansas City Film Fest International and the KC Fringe Festival
